Rose (Gill) Latini, 92
Rose (Gill) Latini, 92, of West Wareham passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, after a brief stay at Tremont Nursing Home in Wareham.
Born in Brockton into a family of dairy farmers, she left school early during the Great Depression to help work on the large dairy farm the family owned in Holbrook. The farm continued operation until the late 1950s when her father died, at which time they sold off most of the cows but kept the land. She continued living in that area, raising her family while working at small manufacturing jobs.
Then in 1985, ten years after her husband died of leukemia, she sold her house in Holbrook and moved to West Wareham. She was very active with the Wareham Council on Aging after moving receiving numerous awards and certificates of appreciation.
She is survived by her four sons and their families, Jim Latini of Uxbridge, George Latini of Middleboro, Justin Latini of Westport and Al Latini of West Wareham. In addition she has seven grand children and five great grand children.
