Mary Borsari, 105
Mary Borsari decided to spend eternity with her husband, Leopoldo and her daughter, Maribeth, on Saturday, August 31. Mary was born in Wareham on August 25, 1914, and lived in Wareham along with her mother, Elizabeth “Lizzy” and her father, Alex and her three sisters, Lena, Anna “Ikie” and Ada.
Mary attended Wareham schools, starting at the four-room Tremont School and graduating from Wareham High School. She was an excellent student and, following high school, she attended and graduated from the Kenyon School of Business in New Bedford.
In 1938, Mary married Leopoldo “Poldo” Borsari and lived in West Wareham in the house Poldo built for her next to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Gault Rd. Together they raised three children: Paul, Peter, and Maribeth. Paul lives with his wife Paula in Naples, FL, Peter lives with his wife Marjorie in Marion and Maribeth is with her father in heaven.
The brightest stars in Mary’s sky and the joy and love of Mary’s life were her grandchildren, Peter, Elizabeth, Paula, Trisha and Michael; and her great grandchildren, Nickolas, Jonathan, Emily, Carla, Jessica, Liza, Diya, Leo and Laura Jane. Her grandson, Peter Borsari and his wife, Kristen live in Rochester and are the parents of Nickolas and Jonathan. Her granddaughter, Elizabeth “Lisa” Allman and her husband Ronald lived in Needham and are the parents of Emily. Her granddaughter, Paula Borsari-Tufts and her husband Jeff live in West Wareham and are the parents of Carla and Jessica. Her granddaughter, Trisha Raynard and her husband Bill live in Middleton and are the parents of Liza and Diya. Her grandson, Michael and his wife Stefany live in Fairfield, CT and are the parents of Leo and Laura Jane.
The Borsari family would like to thank the staff of the Sippican Health Care Center in Marion for the love and care they showed and provided for their mother, Mary during her stay.
P.S. Ma – when you see Pa and Maribeth, tell them we love and miss them.
