A Nashua, N.H. man accused of stabbing three people, killing one of them, was arrested by Wareham Police on Monday, October 10 after police learned he was staying at a Camardo Drive home.

Matthew Packer, 19, of 36 Carlene Drive, Nashua, N.H., was charged with second degree murder for his alleged role in a stabbing incident in Nashua on October 9, during which one person was killed and two others were injured, according to police.

Nashua Police Department detectives told Wareham Police late Monday that they suspected Packer was staying in Wareham. At roughly 10 p.m., Wareham Police obtained a warrant for Packer's arrest.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., Wareham Police officers and detectives proceeded to 45 Camardo Drive and located Packer sleeping on a couch, according to police.

Police said Packer was arrested without incident.

Police Chief Richard Stanley praised the work of his department and the detectives from the Nashua Police Department in "bringing a dangerous fugitive into custody."

"Having [Packer] ... thinking he’d found a safe haven in Wareham, as far as I’m concerned, is an insult," Stanley said.
