Christine F. (Leavestrom) Westgate, 81, died Wednesday, October 26 at her home in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Abiel E. “Bay” Westgate, Jr. who died June 16.

Born in Malden, she was the daughter of the late Carl & Brenda (Lindsey) Leavestrom. A graduate of Wareham High School, Mrs. Westgate was a homemaker.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, baking, and all of the New England sports teams.

Survivors include 8 daughters, Ellen Ames and her husband Bradford of West Wareham, Jill Babin and her husband Michael of Wareham, Karen Magalhaes and her husband John of New Bedford, Crystal Adams of Rochester, Kim Dillingham and her husband John of North Dighton, Lori Fournier of Wareham, Randi Hines and her husband Patrick of Barrington, RI and Joy Gomes of Rochester; her sister, Brenda Amerson of Lady Lake, FL; 8 grandchildren, Karl Ames, Kara (Ames) Pinto, Jacen Fernandes, Jayme Amaral, Erin Dillingham, Amanda (Gomes) Spinola, Ryan Adams, Caleb Hines; 7 great-grandchildren, Tyler and Dahlia Amaral, Ally and Katherine Pinto, Jayla and Jasmine Fernandes, and Julian Spinola. She was predeceased by her sister, the late Linda McMann, and her son-in-law Russell Adams

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 2 at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours have been omitted.
