Garden Club's annual Christmas Faire to offer decorations, gifts

Nov 21, 2011

The Wareham Garden Club's annual Christmas Faire will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3 in the Fellowship Hall at the First Congregational Church on Gibbs Avenue.

This year's theme "For the Birds" keeps in the Garden Club's tradition of using predominately fresh and dried plant materials to create unique holiday centerpieces, decorated wreaths and boxwood table top trees.

Pretzel birdhouses, ornaments and an assortment of many other handmade holiday decorations will be offered as well. Gardening tools, cookbooks and gardening books will be on sale as well as unique primitives, a children's white elephant table, homemade baked goods and tins.

The Wareham Garden Club is a non-profit organization, founded in 1938. Proceeds from the sale help fund civic beautification projects and a yearly scholarship.
