WAREHAM – In honor of Rochester child Rylie Dion and her ongoing battle at the Boston Children’s Hospital, the Wareham Police Association is hosting a blood drive. The drive will take place at the police station at 2515 Cranberry Hwy on Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Dion is undergoing monthly treatments at Boston Children’s Hospital trying to overcome an illness, which has the potential to cause severe life long affects.
“We are trying to get this little girl as much help as she can to overcome this battle,” said organizer Calib Larue.
At the blood drive, it is the associations intent to make a $1000 donation in the Dion’s name to help with expenses for the Boston Children’s Hospital. A fundraising campaign selling shirts to help pay for the costs of Dion’s care can be found at https://www.bonfire.com/rally-for-rylie/
