Fire causes $20,000 in damage to West Wareham home

A West Wareham home sustained an estimated $20,000 in damage after a fire broke out in a bathroom and master bedroom area of the home, according to Wareham Fire.
Firefighters responded to 210 Blackmore Pond Road, a two-story colonial, around 10:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 24. The two people living in the home got out safely, according to Wareham Fire.
The cause of the fire is unclear. It is being investigated by Wareham Fire, Wareham Police, and State Police.
The fire was extinguished just before 12:30 a.m. on Friday. Wareham Fire received assistance from the Marion Fire Department.
