The Wareham Garden Club is having a garden tour and fundraiser entitled "Gardens Ashore! A Coastal Garden Tour of Wareham and Onset," on Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The program will consist of self-guided tours of 3 private gardens in Wareham and 3 private gardens in Onset.

"With the early warm weather we are expecting great things from the gardens.  I love the way this town busts out when the warm weather comes," said Joyce Holster, chairwoman of the tour.

Tickets are $18 dollars in advance and can be purchased at Sail Away Boutique and the Old Company Store in Wareham, Eden's Florist and Garden Shop in Marion, and Gotta Have It in Fairhaven.

Tickets and maps will be available for $22 dollars the day of the event at Buzzards Play Productions at 3065 Cranberry Highway in East Wareham.

Parking for Onset tour-goers will be available in the back parking lot of the Point Independence Yacht Club.

The tour will also feature a raffle, refreshments, and a garden shop with donations from A.D. Makepeace, Marion Antiques, Ackers Vending Company, local artist Susan Gilmore, and Wareham Feed.

Proceeds from the tour and fundraiser will go towards Garden Club activities in town, such as town plantings and a $1,000 dollar scholarship.
