Lindsay Ann Quintal, a longtime resident of Wareham, passed peacefully in her Carver home, surrounded by her loving family. Lindsay spent almost 30 years working in public service in a career that started with her working as an EMT for Wareham EMS. Lindsay also worked as a medic on Massachusetts Maritime’s TS Patriot State for several years where she cruised to Europe, Mexico and Central and South America. Finally, Lindsay retired from the Fairhaven Police Department in 2019 after working for 19 years as a 911 communications dispatcher. In 2008, Lindsay received a 911 Honors Award as Dispatcher of the Year from the Massachusetts Statewide Telecommunications Board for her excellent
handling of several emergency calls.
Lindsay enjoyed gardening, walking her dog, watching her grandchildren play sports, the Red Sox and the Patriots and especially loved spending time with her family.
Lindsay was predeceased by her parents, Lionel L. Hollis and Helen R. Thomas as well as her sister Susan O’Brien and her brother Robert Hollis. Lindsay is survived by her sisters Cathy O’Brien Spencer, Marjorie O’Brien Biszko and sister in law Deborah Hollis. She is also survived by her soulmate Arthur Parsons of Carver, a daughter Alli Sheehan of Chestnut Hill, her son Nolan (Danielle) LeRoy of Bourne. Lindsay was also the proud grandmother of Alice Marie Sheehan, Acey Sheehan, Wesley LeRoy, Corey Sullivan, Paige Bourgault and Emma Bourgault.
Lindsay is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her loving German Shepherd Mali.
Lindsay’s warm and friendly smile and gentle ways will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Relatives and friends may call on December 30, 2023 (Saturday) from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to the O'Neill Funeral Home, 59 Peirce Street (corner of School Street) Middleboro.
A reception will follow in Lorenzo's Restaurant, 500 West Grove Street, Middleboro.
