Joan E. (Howland) Ouellette, 66
Joan E. (Howland) Ouellette, 66, of West Wareham died June 5 in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Boston. She was the widow of the late Wilfred N. Ouellette, Sr., and the daughter of the late William and Eva (Green) Howland.
She was born in New Bedford and lived in West Wareham for more than 42 years. She graduated from New Bedford High School.
Mrs. Ouellette worked for Eastern Bank at the Marion branch for many years before retiring in 2011.
She enjoyed researching her family ancestry and was a member of ancestry.com. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening. She was a member of the Wareham Historical Society and a longtime volunteer at the Wareham Free Library.
Survivors include a son, Wilfred N. Ouellette, Jr. and his wife Tina of W. Wareham; 2 daughters, Susan J. Stephens and her husband, Michael S. Sr. of Bourne, and Jennifer J. Pitta and her husband Matt of Harwichport; 4 grandchildren, Heather L. Stephens, Michael S. Stephens, Jr., Wilfred N. Ouellette, III, and Jeffrey G. Ouellette; a brother, William Howland and his wife Kandy of Marston Mills; many nephews and nieces.
Her funeral was held June 9. Burial followed in Sherman Cemetery, Rochester..
