WAREHAM — Two area high school students have received an art award from the Bourne-Wareham Art Association to support their continuing arts education. 

Caitlyn Cavacas, attending Wareham High School, and Hutton Flaherty, attending Apponequet Regional High School, each presented their portfolios to members of the Association, and their portfolios and presentations impressed the club’s members in attendance, resulting in them receiving the award. 

The award is open each year for high school seniors entering an accredited art school program after graduation. 

The Association is a club of local artists promoting visual artists throughout the Buzzards Bay region. It is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.
