Nancy Lynn Clemishaw (Smith), 53
CANAJOHARIE, NY - Nancy Lynn Clemishaw (Smith) of Canajoharie, NY passed away unexpectedly on June 25 after the sudden onset of acute leukemia. She was 53 years old.
Born on April 2nd, 1971, Nancy graduated from Wareham High School in 1989 as salutatorian. Following this, she achieved a successful, lifelong career in information technology. Her professional journey began at Plymouth Savings Bank in Middleboro, MA and culminated as the Director of Information Technology at FYE in Albany, NY.
Nancy was forever a lover of the beach, her house adorned with seashells and ocean-themed decor. She took frequent trips with family and friends and was always excited to explore new coastlines. Above all else, Nancy enjoyed spending time with others. She had an extraordinary ability to connect with people and had an extensive network of friends across Upstate NY and Massachusetts. She was known for her unwavering love, support, and dedication to her children. Nancy’s impact was felt by all and her infectious energy was a constant reminder that today is a good day for a good day. Her carefree nature and ability to dance like no one’s watching will be deeply missed.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Virginia Smith of Wareham, MA. She is survived by her children Krista and Jeffrey (Nicole) Clemishaw, her siblings Eileen (Bob) Scully of Wareham, MA, Mary (Larry) Taylor of Plainville, MA, and Michael (Lynelle) Smith of Rochester, MA, former husband Jeff Clemishaw Sr. of Sharon Springs, NY, countless other friends, family and loved ones, and her grand fur baby Tucker.
All are welcome to celebrate Nancy’s life on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. A visitation will be held at Chapman Funerals & Cremations in Wareham, MA from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 94 High St., Wareham, MA. A private burial will be held for invited immediate family members.
