WAREHAM – Josephine (Texiera) Lopes, 102, passed away at home while surrounded by her loving daughter and grandson on October 7, 2024. She was the daughter of the late John and Angelina (Randall) Texiera.

She was born in Wareham and lived there her whole life.

Mrs. Lopes worked at May Optical in Wareham for several years before retiring. Previously she worked for Aerovox Corporation in New Bedford.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading Victorian novels and spending time at home being a homemaker.

Her family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Community Nurse and Home Care for all their help.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy A. Lopes of Wareham; a grandson, Glen Lopes of Wareham.

Her services will be private.
