WEST WAREHAM – Theodore A. "Teddy" Baptiste, Jr., 76, of West Wareham died Thursday, December 19, 2024 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Suzanne (Davidson) Baptiste.

Born and raised in Wareham, he was the son of the late Adeline (Gomes) and Theodore A. Baptiste, Sr. Mr. Baptiste graduated from Wareham High School, Class of 1966. He owned and operated Beaver Brook Cranberry Co. in Rochester and was a grower/owner for Ocean Spray. Mr. Baptiste also worked for Eversource for over 35 years.

Mr. Baptiste was a member of the Wareham – New Bedford Lodge of Elks, and enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Red Cedar Fox Club. He was past president and equipment manager for Wareham Little League and also enjoyed quahogging, clamming and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne L. Baptiste of W. Wareham; his children, Timothy M. Baptiste of Middleboro, Joseph A. Baptiste of E. Wareham, Jennifer M. Baptiste of Taunton, and Christina M. Baptiste of New Bedford; his siblings, Michael Baptiste and Joan Baptiste both of Wareham. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Mr. Baptiste was predeceased by his son, the late Theodore A. Baptiste, III and his brother, the late Kenneth Baptiste.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thurs., Jan. 2, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4 – 7 PM. A graveside service will be held on Fri., Jan. 3, 2025 at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tihonet Rd., Wareham at 11 AM.
