The Wareham Knights of Columbus Council 15280 is hosting their annual hoop shoot competition Sunday, Feb. 9.

The hoop shoot is a free throw competition for kids between the ages of 9 and 14 and the competition is being held at the Gleason Family YMCA located at 33 Charge Pond Road.

The contest begins at 9 a.m. and will run until 11 a.m.

The contest is divided up into divisions based on age and gender and the winner of each division will move on to the state competition.

The Knights of Columbus have sponsored a national hoop-shoot competition since 1972.
