Albert J. “Al” Hill, II, 89
Pocasset-Albert J. “Al” Hill, II, 89, of Pocasset formerly of Needham, passed away on Thursday January 9, 2025 at home. He was the loving husband of 60 years to Gigliola M. Hill who passed away in 2016 to whom he missed very much.
Born in Boston the son of the late George F. and Margaret (Bartini) Hill. A 1955 Needham High School graduate. He was also a U.S.A.F. Vietnam veteran serving two tours. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant and retired after 20 + years. He served at Francis E. Warren AFB, in Wyoming, Goose Bay Labrador, Aviano Air Force Base, Italy, where he met his wife. Kelly AFB, San Antonio, TX, Hanscom AFB Massachusetts, Kunsan AFB Korea, McChord AFB, Washington State, Kwan Ju AFB Korea, Cam Ranh Bay Vietnam, Mountain Home AFB, Idaho and Honorably discharged from Hanscom AFB. He was an expert marksman and a member of the U.S. Air Force Competitive Shooting Team.
He worked for Energy Machinery as an industrial equipment sales representative. He later worked for and with Ray and Eric Duphily owners of RDS Equipment of Dartmouth a retirement job he loved. He was an avid reader, gardener, loved to do a crossword and enjoyed a good western.
He is survived by his children: Victor A. Hill and his wife Danielle of Quincy, Dolores E. Consoletti and her husband Christian of Wareham. He was the grandfather of Vittorio and Alessio Consoletti, Victoria Hill, Brittany Havlin and Christa Menyo and her husband Joseph, Great grandfather of Hunter. Brother in-law of Lucia Rigo of Pordenone, Italy. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and many great neighbors. His CNA Malorie and Cape Cod Hospice and VNA.
He was the brother of the late George Hill, Katherine Kenyon and Marie Kral and brother in-law of the late Vittorio Rigo.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 16th, at 10 O’clock in Saint Margaret of Scotland Parish, 141 Main Street, Bourne, MA 02532 Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Visiting hours will be private. Burial will follow in Saint Josephs Cemetery, 990 LaGrange Street West Roxbury, MA.
