David Pipher

Mar 19, 2025
David Pipher, a lifelong resident of Wareham, MA, who later made his home in Foxborough, MA, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 14, 2025. He spent his final evening doing what he loved—watching the Boston Bruins—with his beloved cat, Maggie, by his side.

Born to Evelyn and Robert Pipher, both deceased, David was one of six children. He is reunited in passing with his siblings, Debbie Merry, Roberta Foley and her husband Fred Foley, and Michael Pipher, all of whom he loved dearly.

He earned a degree in criminal justice and had a deep passion for history, sports, and collecting. A devoted fan of the Boston Bruins, NASCAR, and the Dallas Cowboys, he was never far from a game, always cheering on his teams enthusiastically.

David had a keen interest in model cars, World War I and II memorabilia, sports collectibles, and G.I. Joes, carefully curating his collections over the years. His prized possession was his personal vehicle- a red Ram truck, painted to resemble the classic Lil’ Red Express, a reflection of his love for cars and craftsmanship.

Beyond his hobbies, David had a deep love for animals, especially cats. His cherished companion, Maggie, now nearly 21 years old, was his constant source of comfort and joy. He supported various cat nonprofits, ensuring that animals in need received care and compassion. Maggie has now been lovingly adopted by his sister, Dianne.

David is survived by his sister, Dianne Pipher, and her husband, Michael Neely; his brother, Robert Pipher, and his wife, Kathy; his nephew, Robert Pipher, and his wife, Courtney Pipher; and, of course, his beloved cat, Maggie. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

David’s love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, forever cheering for his teams and surrounded by all the animals he loved.
