WAREHAM – Glenda Y. (Gomes) Roderick, 76, of East Wareham, passed away on August 7, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. She was the wife of Gilbert Roderick and the daughter of the late Edward and Beryl A. (Salisbury) Gomes.

She was born in Wareham and lived there all her life. She graduated from Wareham High School.

Mrs. Roderick worked as a Home Health Aid for many years before retiring.

She enjoyed listening to country music, cooking, shopping, entertaining and talking to friends and family. She loved her dog named Poodle.

Survivors include her husband, Gilbert Roderick of Marion; a daughter, Valerie Roderick of East Wareham; a son, Gilbert Roderick, Jr. of Boston; a sister, Janice Tavares of West Wareham; a brother, Terrence Gomes of Wareham; several nephews and nieces; her close friends, Dorothea Carter of Onset and Rose Figueroa and her husband, Angel of New Bedford. She was the sister of the late Dennis Gomes, Valerie Gomes, and Warren Gomes.

Her services are being held privately.
