Adrien Joseph Leonard
March 24, 2004 – August 17, 2025
Adrien Joseph Leonard, 21, affectionately known as “Pook”.
Born on March 24, 2004 in Falmouth, Massachusetts, Adrien grew up surrounded by family and friends who cherished his kind heart, sense of humor, vibrant soul. He attended Wareham High School until the pandemic hit and was further home-schooled.
Adrien had a way of making people feel seen and valued, and he left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Adrien enjoyed the latest fashion, video games, tattoos and being around his family. He will forever be remembered for his love of art, intelligence, and for his speaking what’s on his mind.
Adrien lived his life with courage and heart, facing Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with a strength that inspired all who knew him. He was not defined by his disease, but rather by the way he rose above it - meeting each day as a true warrior. His laughter, sharp humor, and ability to find joy in the smallest of things left a lasting mark on family, friends, and his community.
He is survived by his parents, mother Susan Leona, and father George Leonard, his siblings Evan (and Jessica), Gavan (and Tara), Kiona (and Derrell), Jordan, Lateisha (and Enwil), his god-sisters Falicia and Mariah, and many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends
He was the loving “Uncle Pook” to Derrell Jr., Jevani, Jesiah, Janyea, Kasey, Eveyah, Maila, Riley, Malina, Jeremiah, Serenity, and Leo.
He is also survived by his devoted godmother, Alicia, who held a special place in his life.
