Wareham pooch wins Marion Animal Hospital's 'Howl-O-Ween' photo contest
Russell. Jack Russell.
Wareham Jack Russell terrier mix "Bee" was one of two big winners in the Marion Animal Hospital's "Howl-O-Ween" pet photo contest. The pooch dressed as a pretty convincing James Bond.
Bee's owner is Amanda Santiago of Wareham.
The hospital announced the winners of the second-annual contest, which featured 50 contestants in a variety of creative costumes, on Halloween.
Bee was selected because he received the most "likes" on Facebook. "Zoe," a chihuahua who was dressed as Dorothy from "The Wizard of Oz," was the hospital staff's pick. Zoe's owner is Lori Novick of Tiverton, R.I.
Bee, Zoe, and their owners received a number of prizes, including pet toys, gift certificates, and one free exam certificate for the hospital.
"It was a really hard choice," Chantelle Pavao of Marion Animal Hospital said of the contest. "We had so many great photos."
Pavao added that due to the popularity of the contest, the hospital is looking to offer more categories for winners in the future.
