Wonder how those beautiful flowers pop up all over Onset Village each year?

For more than 18 years, the Onset Bay Association's Beautification Committee has been cleaning and maintaining public areas in the village, and planting flowers and other greenery.

In an effort to raise money to keep the gardens growing, the committee is raffling off a Nantucket Lightship basket, designed by Onset Bay Association member Bill Judd.

"We rely solely on contributions from fundraisers," noted committee member Lorraine McDonald.

The basket features creative rope detail, as well as cherry wood accents. It is valued at more than $300.

Raffle tickets cost $5 for two and $10 for five tickets. Second prize is a gardening basket full of goodies. The drawing will be held on June 15.
