Join the Coalition for an introduction to the principles of sailing and a sunset cruise of the Onset Bay on July 11 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Participants will meet at the Onset Pier at 184 Onset Ave. Coalition educators will walk participants through the basics of sailing and then take them out for a sail through the waters of Onset Bay. Attendants are welcome to try their hand at steering the boat and controlling the sail.

Participants should wear shoes and clothes that they are comfortable with getting wet. A warm layer and bug spray is recommended. Life jackets will be provided. Participants are recommend arriving 15 minutes early if possible, as transport to dock at Burgess Point can take some time.

In case of heavy rain or wind, or thunderstorms, this sail will be rescheduled to a later date. All registrants will be automatically registered for the backup sail in case of a bad weather.
