Alan C. Savary, 80

Alan C."Big Al" Savary passed away June 1, 2014, at Cape Cod Rehabilitation Center after a long period of declining health, he was 80.

Alan was born in Middleborough to the late Clifton V. and Priscilla (Gifford) Savary and was raised in Wareham.

Alan went to the Wareham school system and after graduating joined the Coast Guard. Alan returned to Wareham after completing his service to work at C.V. Savary Garage.

He soon after started Al's Used Cars and ran the business until his retirement.

Alan enjoyed repairing cars, but favored fixing up old trucks. He also enjoyed spending time talking and swapping stories with his many friends at The Narrows Crossing Restaurant. He liked spending time with his dog "Pookie." Alan enjoyed times spent with his many friends at Wareham Auto, Robertson's Auto, and Hiller Co.

He leaves his children, Alain Savary, Norine Amaral and her husband Scott, Wanda Savary all of Wareham, Lisa Savary of Carver; and his former wife, D. Janet Savary also of Wareham.  He leaves behind grandchildren Scott Amaral and his wife Allyson of Wareham, Christiana McKay and her husband Matthew of Mattapoisett, Sara Tyma of Wareham and three great grandchildren, Kennedy McKay, Lilyana Amaral and Autumn Amaral.

He also leaves behind his loving companion of more than 40 Linda Krzyzek and her children, Chris Krzyzek, Steve Krzyzek, Patty Towers and her husband Greg all of Bourne, John Krzyzek of Wareham, Ginny Brownson and her husband Robert of Fla. and several grandchildren.

Alan was predeceased by his parents and his brother Donald V. Savary.

His graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 5, in Agawam Cemetery in Wareham. Visiting hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
