Wareham Police arrested a man for trafficking in more than ten grams of fentanyl on September 29. 

The man, Marcus D. Agee, 26, of West Wareham, was spotted in a car near the Planet Fitness in Cranberry Plaza.

As detectives approached, Agee allegedly grabbed a bag from the car and ran away. The officers caught up and, after a brief scuffle, handcuffed him.

Inside the bag, detectives found more than 30 grams of fentanyl, Adderall pills, a digital scale, and rubber gloves, along with two cell phones and a knife. 

Agee was arrested and charged with trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl, possession of a Class “B” drug (subsequent offense), and resisting arrest.

One of the detectives allegedly received minor injuries but did not seek treatment.
