Wareham Animal Control has successfully returned a crafty ferret to its owners after the little animal was caught sneaking into a home in search of a snack on Saturday.

The critter strolled into a home in the Indian Mound Beach area alongside the dog of the house, presumably hoping to stay for supper.

Luckily, the little mustelid’s family spotted Animal Control’s post on Facebook and identified him as Ash, who had snuck out for the weekend on Friday night. 

Ferret and family were reunited: a happy ending for everyone except perhaps the dog, who might miss its new friend.
