Annie L. Veiga, 100, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Sept. 20, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Agneus Veiga.

Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Mary Lopes. She was a skilled seamstress and a loving homemaker who enjoyed knitting, needlework, and cooking.

She is survived by her children, Glenn Veiga of West Wareham, Maurice Veiga of Plymouth, Bernadine Veiga of Attleboro, and Pamela Veiga of Marshfield; 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, the late Virgil Veiga, and her sisters, the late Ruth Barros, Elvira Barros, Joana Virginia Hull, Marjorie Baptiste, and Dominga Lopes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 1, at St. Anthony’s Church, Gaul Road, West Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours have been omitted.
