Barbara B. (Bond) Goucher, 84, of Wareham, formerly of Dover, died Thursday, January 21, 2010 at home. She was the widow of the late Robert M. Wasserman and the late John W. Goucher.

Born in Needham, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Ruth (Wadman) Bond. She was the sister of the late Edwin E. Bond.

Mrs. Goucher was employed as a teacher in the Wareham Public School System until her retirement.

She had been a very active member in both the Wareham Historical Society and the Wareham Garden Club.

Survivors include her son, Richard E. Goucher, of West Wareham; her daughters, Carol Wasserman Green, of Wareham, and Dr. Lani W. Smith, of Lafayette, LA; two grandchildren, Elliot M. Billings and Cherelle Smith, and her great-grandchild, Krystian Winston.

Her funeral service will be private. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery, Dover.
