Car hits three vehicles, auto parts store on Cranberry Highway
At least one person was injured when a car collided with a police truck and two other vehicles before crashing into an auto parts store on Cranberry Highway around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, according to an officer at the scene.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately known.
Early reports indicated that one of the victims was a police officer. However, according to an e-mailed statement from Lt. Kevin Walsh of the Wareham Police Department, "a police officer was not injured in the accident today. The custodian was involved, and he returned to work shortly after."
There was some damage to the Total Auto Concepts building, according to David Curran, a photographer at the scene. The town's building inspector was notified.
Police at the scene said they were not sure if charges will be filed.
