Carolyn Joy (Herndon) Turgeon, 75
Carolyn Joy (Herndon) Turgeon, 75, of Plymouth, formerly of Wareham, died Sept. 17 at home. She was the wife of Robert Turgeon and the daughter of the late Orville Herndon and Hilda (Riggins) Herndon Gardner.
She was born in Dover, TN and lived in Wareham and Plymouth for many years.
Mrs. Turgeon worked as a manager at Ames Department Store in Wareham in New Bedford for many years before retiring.
She was a member of the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club and Twin County and Cape Cod Pistol Teams. She was an avid lover of country music and shoes. She enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Turgeon; her children, Steven St. Martin of Franklin, KY, Rita St. Martin of Cloud, FL, Nancy Bozza of Bridgewater, David St. Martin of Taunton, Paul St. Martin of Kingston, Jeff St. Martin and Tina Carter of Abington, Robin Costello of NH, Robert Turgeon, Jr. of KY, Randall and Connie Turgeon of Plymouth; a sister, Rebecca Wilson of Murray, KY; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Bell, her son-in-law, John Bozza, Jr., a sister, Faye Todd and her brother, Gary Herndon.
Her memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. Visiting hours are from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
