Celebrating early with hip-hopping and egg hunting

Being late doesn't translate to being a loser.

Elliana and Avagail Cutler, Leandro Andrade, and Policarpo Decruz had a special egg hunt after the children of Best Friends Pre-School already finished theirs in celebration of Easter on Friday night.

The celebration included a visit from the Easter Bunny, an easter hip-hop dancing session, raffle drawings, egg decorating, and a movie. Students, parents, friends, and cousins took part in the festivities.

Though most of the children had an egg hunt before dark, taking their empty egg cartons and filling them with plastic, candy-filled eggs, the Cutler girls, Andrade, and Decruz were late to the party.

Nicole Fagerberge, a teacher at the school, led the four kids outside to the playground and allowed them to pick up as many eggs as they could find. She pointed a flashlight from her phone to help them see in the dark and it didn't take long for the remainder of an original 700 eggs to be found. Fagerberge thanked them for helping her out.

"You're welcome," said Andrade, "I wish there were more."

They made away with the loot (bags full of easter eggs) while others watched an Easter movie on the second floor. Hop-fully, not one of the eggs went to waste.
