Chad M. Barros, 29, of Mattapoisett, formerly of Wareham, died unexpectedly on June 11, 2011.

He was born in Wareham the son of the late Charles Lopes, Jr. He attended Wareham High School.

Chad was a very loving father, brother, nephew and most of all son. Chad had a great love of fashion and expressed it very well. Chad was a fun-loving uncle and especially enjoyed spending time with his niece, Kourtney, who predeceased him.

Survivors include his daughter, Mariah Lee Barros of New Bedford; his mother and stepfather, Faith (Barros) and Thomas Goodine of Mattapoisett; 2 sisters, Hope Vieira of Wareham and Shaunine Lopes of New Bedford; 3 brothers, Brian Barros and Jason Vieira both of Wareham and Trey Lopes of New Bedford; his former wife Stephanie (Goncalo) Barros of New Bedford; many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Jennifer Vieira, his grandparents, John and Jenny Filkins and his niece, Kourtney M. Vieira.

His funeral was held June 18. A Mass of Christian Burial followed at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
