WAREHAM – Michael R. Corn, 71, of Wareham, died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his home unexpectedly.  He was the husband of Ellen J. (Larson) Corn.

Born in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late James W. and Edith (Voelter) Corn.  A longtime resident of California, Michael moved to Massachusetts where he worked as a respiratory therapist at the former New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton.  He also was a respiratory therapy instructor at Massasoit Community College.

Michael served in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1974 during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen; his son, Tyler Sanford of Wareham; his siblings, James Corn, Theresa Green, Debbie Smilden, June Charitan and Barbara Johnson.  He was predeceased by his son, the late Michael Sanford.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 p.m.  Please arrive at the cemetery by 12:30 p.m.
