Charles Byron of Wareham died peacefully on Jan. 21, 2022, at the age of 95, though he would point out that he was actually living in his 96th year.

Charles was specific about what he wanted to be detailed in his obituary, which was the following: Charles was born on June 23, 1926, and lived in Buzzards Bay and Wareham, MA. He attended Bourne High School, worked in the family business and was a World War II veteran who saw service as a machine gunner in Europe.

A graveside service will be held at Center Cemetery, Tihonet Road, Wareham, on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m.
