Charles Ramig, 67

Charles “Chuck” Ramig, 67, passed away Feb. 18 in Treasure Island, FL, after a brief illness.

A resident of Wareham since 1990, he was the loving husband of Annette (DeMarco) Ramig. In recent years, the couple spent winters in Florida.

Born to Isabella (Sladen) and Charles Ramig on Sept. 14, 1946, he was a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School. After serving as a Navy SEAL from 1965 to 1971, Chuck went on to work as an electronics engineer.

He enjoyed life and lived it well. Particular pleasure came from fishing, boating, woodcarving, relaxing with his family and spending time in Treasure Island.

He is survived by his wife; one sister, Isabella Sheridan of Wentworth, NH; two stepsons, Anthony DeMarco and partner Alexandra Poyant and Matthew DeMarco of Malden; two granddaughters, Gianna and Audrey DeMarco Poyant of Malden; nephews Rick Warbin and wife Shelly and Scotty Warbin of Wentworth, NH. He was predeceased by nephew Chris Warbin.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 31, at 11 a.m. at Anthony’s of Malden, Canal Street, Malden, with a reception to follow. Burial will be in Bourne at a later date.
