Christmas parade plans underway

Nov 15, 2013

Christmas is quickly approaching, and that means the Wareham Village Association’s annual Christmas Parade is even closer. The parade will be Dec. 14 at 3 p.m., concluding with a tree lighting at the Town Green at approximately 4:30 p.m.

This year’s parade route will begin at Besse Park and end at the Town Green.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., downtown businesses will welcome the public with cocoa, candy canes, and other treats, along with select special offers, at the annual Christmas on Main Street.

Meanwhile, the Wareham Village Association reminds fans that there will be no holiday train event this Thanksgiving weekend. Logistical challenges that affected the event in 2012 have not yet been resolved, but the Association Board of Directors hopes to sponsor an improved event in 2014.

The Village Association is still accepting applications for parade participation.  Call 508-291-3677 for information.
