Clifton Homer Wade, 69

Clifton Homer Wade, 69, died July 2 at his home in Wareham. He was the husband of Carmen (Passion) Wade.

Born in Cameron, TX, he was the son of the late Carrie (Currey) and Clifton H. Wade, Sr. Mr. Wade served in the U.S. Air Force during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War from 1961 to 1965.

Mr. Wade was sales manager for Tichon Lincoln Mercury in New Bedford and Park Motors in Fairhaven. He was also the owner of Cliff’s Mobil in Wareham. Mr. Wade also served as auxiliary police officer in Wareham and as a volunteer firefighter.

Survivors include his wife; his children, Annette St. Germaine and her husband Brian of Wareham, Eric Wade and his wife Michele of Plymouth, Nichole Stahmer of Wareham and Crystal Tellefsen and her husband Paul of Bridgewater; a brother, James Barron Knight of Cameron, TX; two sisters, Sarah Knight of Tacoma, WA and Elisa of Driftwood, TX and ten grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 9, at St. Patrick’s Church, High Street, Wareham at 9 a.m. Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting hours will be Sunday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham from 6 to 8 p.m.
