Community Events Committee seeks nonprofits to benefit from tax revenue
The Community Events Committee (CEC) of Wareham is again this year seeking to develop ways in which to distribute the hotel/motel/bed and breakfast room tax revenue collected and placed aside for usage in expanding and promoting tourism in Wareham.
Active nonprofit associations that will be organizing specific Wareham events, activities, and programs are invited to participate in this program by requesting applications at the Board of Selectman’s office, located in Town Hall, 54 Marion Road.
This year's applications must include events planned through June 30, 2012, because the committee will be funding based on a fiscal year, which starts July 1. Completed applications must be returned completed no later than March 15.
