Council on Aging plans July activities

The Council on Aging Senior Center is still closed, but a variety of outdoor and indoor activities are planned. The Center hopes to resume full operations in the near future.

On July 13 at 9 a.m., learn to shellfish at the Onset Bay Center. The program is free, but space is limited. Call Kat Garofoli at 508-999-6363, ext. 227, to register.

On Wednesday, July 14, at 9:45 a.m., learn to make greeting cards. All materials will be included. Register by calling 508-291-3130.

On July 21 and 28 at 10 a.m., celebrate Christmas in July by making six ornaments. All materials provided. Register by calling 508-291-3130.

Coffee and Conversation takes place each Tuesday from 9 to 10:00 am at the rear of the Multi-Service Center. Get re-acquainted or meet new friends.

Every Wednesday, go for a walk at the Wareham Middle School Field at 10 a.m. with a group, weather permitting. Register by calling 508-291-3130.

Tai Chi is held every Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the library courtyard, weather permitting. Chair Yoga with Pam takes place every Thursday at 2 p.m. in front of the library, weather permitting. 

Grab and Go Box Lunches are available Tuesdays and Thursdays, courtesy of the Old Colony Elder Services. Lunches must be reserved at least three days in advance by calling 508-291-3130, and can be picked up at the Multi-Service Center handicap ramp.
