Sep 29, 2017

More than 200 cyclists will pedal across Southeastern New England from Rhode Island to Cape Cod passing through Wareham on Oct. 1 to support clean water during the 11th annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride. The event is hosted by the Buzzards Bay Coalition.

The Watershed Ride is a cycling fundraiser to benefit the Coalition’s environmental education, protection, restoration and advocacy work throughout the Buzzards Bay region.

The ride ends at the Marine Biological Laboratory Swope Center in Woods Hole, where riders will celebrate at a waterfront finish line party with food, drinks, awards and live music.

In Wareham, riders will begin arriving at a water stop at First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union, 396 Onset Ave. around noon.

Riders will enter town on Fearing Hill Road and follow a route that takes them down Main Street, High Street, Minot Avenue, Onset Avenue and then Cranberry Highway before entering Bourne.
