D. Terry Allen, of Carver, passed away peacefully on June 27 2020 at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Cambridge after 16 months of a fighting effort to recover from a double lung transplant. 

Born on November 27 1948 in Brockton, Massachusetts and raised in West Bridgewater, Terry was a loving son to the late Dorothy Allen and William F. Allen and survived by his brother Gary Allen and wife Sally Allen. He also leaves  behind his nieces Shyla Ames along with her daughter Abigail of Sandwich, Kristy Allen of Sagamore Beach and Kacey DaSilva along with her husband Andherson DaSilva and daughter Mariana of Wareham. He leaves behind many friends and family who simply enjoyed having Terry around with his great sense of humor. 

Terry worked for Stop & Shop for over 25 years as a regional meat buyer. He also served two years with the United States Army and six years in reserves. He graduated West Bridgewater High school class of 1966. Terry lived his life as simple as possible. He enjoyed his time golfing and spending time with friends at the Upland Club in Plympton.  

The wake will be held at the Cartmell-Davis funeral home, 619 State Road, Manomet, on Thursday July 9  from 4 to 8 p.m. open to all friends and family.
