The Wareham Elks Lodge, located at 2855 Cranberry Highway, will host a benefit dance for Sonya Harris, a local woman battling a number of illnesses, on Saturday Jan. 12 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Harris is battling MRSA, lung cancer, and a brain tumor. Her condition is terminal, and the proceeds from the event will help her family through a difficult financial time.
