Daniel Eric Lima, 55

Feb 6, 2017

Daniel Eric Lima, 55, of Pocasset died Feb. 1 in Falmouth Hospital. He was the loving husband of Donna (DiMascola) Lima and the son of Beverley A. Sequeira and the late Daniel C. Lima.

He was born and raised in Wareham and lived in Pocasset for six years. Mr. Lima graduated from Wareham High School in 1979.

He served in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance specialist. He was proud to say he kept the B-52s in the air.

Mr. Lima was a head custodian at Morse Pond School in Falmouth. He had a smile for everyone, and enjoyed getting to know the students in his wife’s classroom. He was soft-spoken with a big heart and was chosen to receive an “Ordinary Hero” award by the students in 2015.

He loved traveling with his wife and fishing with his son, Rikki. He was happiest in his own little piece of Heaven that he and Donna created in Pocasset. They worked together, they lived together, and only wanted to be together, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Survivors include his loving wife, Donna (DiMascola) Lima; his mother, Beverley A. (Sequeira) Lima of Buzzards Bay; three sons, Rikki D. Lima of Centerville, Daniel Lima and Marcus Lima both of Hyannis; a daughter, Ashley Lima of Florida; two sisters, Daneen Davis of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Sherri Lima of Buzzards Bay; a brother, Michael Lima of Buzzards Bay.

His funeral will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7 from Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham.
