Donna C. Santoro, 70, Ret. M/Sgt. MA Army Reserves

Donna C. Santoro, 70, (Ret. M/Sgt. MA Army Reserves) of W. Wareham, died January 6 at the V.A. Medical Center in Brockton after a long illness.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Leo & Catherine (Gillen) Santoro. A graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1959, she attended Northeastern University School of Business in 1960 and Mass. General Hospital School of Radiologic Techniques in 1961. Donna was chief x-ray technician at Barnstable County Hospital in Pocasset.

After her hospital employment, Donna enlisted in the U.S. Army serving three years active duty and 21 years in the Army Reserves retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. In 1981, Donna graduated from Massasoit Community College and pursued a career in computer science.

She is survived by three sisters, Denise E. Pratt and her husband James, F. of Londonderry, NH, Diane L. Neil of Brockton and Deborah A. Stonefield and her husband J. Michael of Myrtle Beach, SC; her brother, L. Bradley Santoro and his wife Marjorie of Wareham; 11 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins from the Brockton area and many lifelong friends.

Her funeral service was held January 9 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, Wareham.
