Doreen Ann Silvia, 61

Mar 25, 2020

Doreen Ann Silvia, of Lakeville, formerly of Wareham, passed away on Sunday, March 22, at 61 years old. Her daughter & niece were by her bedside as she took her last breath at Tufts Medical Center.

It would be wrong to say that Doreen lost her battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma because she never stopped fighting. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looked like. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through any pain she had. There was no quit in her. Just because my mother is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost the fight. Her positive energy, courage, strength & contagious smile inspired others.

Born & raised in Wareham, she was the loving daughter of the late Domingo & Sylvia Andrews. She was the oldest of six siblings and enjoyed childhood summers on the Cape. She loved festivals, yard sales, blueberry picking, cookouts and being on the beach. Her greatest love of all was her FAMILY.

Doreen is survived by her husband Anthony Silvia of 18 years, her daughters Jessica Campbell & husband Jason and Racquel Flynn & husband Richard. Her most prized possessions, though, were her grandchildren; Kiarra, Ryan, Jaycee, Malik, and Austin. Her face lit up every time she talked about them.

She is survived by her sister, Denise & husband Seref Mcdowell, her brother Domingo Andrews Jr. & wife Debra, her brother Michael Andrews & sister Lisa Andrews. Her Aunts Rebecca Figueroa, Rosalie Stewart & Uncle Leroy Pina, along with her loving nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was also predeceased by her sister Agnes Andrews & Aunt Anna Andrade.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and place to be announced. Visiting hours have been omitted & burial will be private.  Arrangements are under the care of Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center Street Wareham.
