Dorothy L. (Hartford) Marble, 92, died Monday, Dec. 15 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing Home in Buzzards Bay. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Marble, Jr. They were married for 63 years.

Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Winslow and Daisy (Jennings) Hartford. A resident of Wareham since 1949, Mrs. Marble worked as bookkeeper for her family business, Marble Hardware in Wareham and Marion. After her retirement, she wintered in Naples, Florida.

She enjoyed boating and fishing, bingo and playing cards.

Survivors include her daughters, Lynn Eaton and her husband Robert of Buzzards Bay and Susan Maloney and her husband Jay of Wareham; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, the late Frances Fihlman.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19 at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m.
