Dorothy T. (Bauer) Ritchie, 89, formerly of Wareham, died Nov. 15 in the Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehab Center in Buzzards Bay. She was the widow of the late Francis A. Ritchie and the daughter of the late George and Teresa (Hauswold) Bauer.

She was born in the Bronx, New York and lived in Cambridge, Wareham, and Chelmsford.

Mrs. Ritchie worked as a bookkeeper at Polaroid Corporation in Cambridge and Needham for many years before retiring.

She enjoyed dancing, gardening, and attending events at the Chelmsford Senior Center. She was a member of the V.A. Wives in Bedford.

Survivors include her daughters, Diane P. Kelley and her husband Ronald of Danvers and Barbara J. Souza and her husband John of Plymouth; a sister, Mildred Alcott of Bronx, New York; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Kelley, Bryan Kelley, Kristin LeClair, Amy Ingemi; nine great-grandchildren, Nicole, Ryan, Luke, Julia, Alex, Dylan, Brooke, Alivia, and Zachary. Another grandson, Paul J. Kelley predeceased her.

Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, at St. Patrick’s Church, 82 High St., Wareham. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours are from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham.
