Edward F. Costello Jr., 74
Edward F. Costello Jr., 74, of Wareham, MA. and formerly of Milford, MA. died Tuesday, June 28 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Loraine T. (Ferraro) Costello.
He was born in Milford, MA., the son of the late Edward F. and the late Antoinette H. (Costantino) Costello and resided in Milford before moving to Wareham 11 years ago.
Mr. Costello attended the Milford public schools as a young boy and graduated from Milford High School, class of 1954.
He was employed as a foreman for the former Commonwealth Gas Company for 30 years retiring 17 years ago.
He was an avid drummer and played in several "Big Bands" in the area as well as having his own combo for several years.
In addition to his wife of 24 years, he is survived by 1 stepdaughter, Jennifer M. Kimball of Mendon, MA.; 2 grandchildren, Meredith L. Kimball and Michael J. Kimball; 1 sister, Beverly A. (Costello) Swift and her husband Walter R., of Hopedale, MA.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
His funeral was held July 1 at the Edwards Memorial Funeral Home in Milford. Please visit www.edwardsmemorialfuneralhome.com for an online condolence book. A Mass of Christian Burial followed in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milford.
