Elena C. Ferioli, 89, of E. Wareham, died peacefully Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at her home under the care of her loving daughters. She was the wife of Carl P. Ferioli, Sr. and is survived by her six children, Diane E. Clark of Sturbridge, Carl P. Ferioli, Jr. of Barrington, NH, Gail M. Somers of Plymouth, Paul P. Ferioli of N. Reading, Jill M. Ferioli-Lockhart of Plymouth and Carol J. Ferioli of Taunton. She also leaves behind her greatest joy of 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Elena was predeceased by her siblings, the late Rudolpho Pizzi, Ida Pizzi and Edmundo Pizzi.

Elena was the daughter of the late Federico and Bambina Rose (Padula) Pizzi and was raised in Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School. After raising her loving family in Somerville, MA, Elena and Carl retired to their summer home at the lake in Wareham, where they had many years of enjoyment entertaining friends and visiting with their loving children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook and loved spending her quiet time knitting, crocheting and doing crossword puzzles. Elena, known to all as “Nini” will be deeply missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham, on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be in Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
