Elizabeth Pezzoli, 74
Elizabeth Pezzoli, 74, of Bourne formerly of Wareham passed away Nov. 11 at Tobey Hospital. She was born Jan. 13, 1942, the daughter of the late Frank and Auni (Laine) Pezzoli.
Her initial past college years were spent in Boston and New York City before returning to live in Wareham. Elizabeth was an interior designer, a public servant and a journalist. She served Wareham as Town Clerk and on the Wareham Fire District. She most recently worked at the Wareham Senior Center.
It was in journalism that she excelled. She had a wonderful use of words and ability to write an expose that was brief and to the point. Wareham politics gave her plenty of material for her paper, the Wareham Observer. She was a reporter for the Brockton Enterprise and New Bedford Standard Times. She continued writing while working at the Wareham Senior Center producing the Beacon.
She is survived by her aunt, Bertha Bartlett and her cousins Robert Bartlett, Beverly Bartlett and Arthur “Jack” Laine; and a special friend Henry Williams.
There will be visitation and sharing at the Wareham Village Funeral Home 5 Center St., Wareham on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Burial will be private. To leave a message of condolence for the family, visit www.warehamvillagefuneralhome.com.
