Fifth suspect still at large after September shooting

A fifth suspect wanted in connection to a drive-by shooting on Cromesett Road in September is still at-large.

Andrew Booker, 21, has a warrant out for his arrest for his alleged involvement in the shooting. He is considered armed and dangerous. Police described Booker as a black male with brown eyes and black hair. He is six-foot-three-inches tall and 145 pounds.

According to police, the shooting occurred at 1:30 pm  on Saturday, Sept. 25.  Eyewitnesses said, and police confirmed, that a tan Nissan Altima with five people inside abruptly slammed on the brakes in front of 60 Cromesett Rd., and six shots were fired into vehicles in the home's driveway. No one was hurt as a result.

Rachel Tavares, 26, of 8 Pine Ridge Rd. in Buzzards Bay, and Matthew Watterson, 20, of 288 Onset Ave. in Onset, were both arrested about half an hour after the incident.  Both Tavares and Watterson are charged with numerous counts of assault with attempt to murder.

Tavares was released on $2,500 cash bail and will next appear in court on Jan. 31.  Attorney Jack Atwood argued that there was no concrete evidence placing Tavares, who is alleged to have been driving the car during the incident, at the scene of the crime.

Watterson was indicted for his role in the shooting on Dec. 10, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. Watterson is currently being held on $4,000 bail at the Plymouth County House of Correction. He will go before Superior Court in Brockton on Feb.7.

Dominic Rezendes, 20, of 20 Terry Lane East in Wareham, was arrested a day after the shooting with a .45 caliber handgun that police believe was used in the incident.

Another suspect, William Black, turned himself in to Wareham 4th District Court three weeks after the crime. Black, who was indicted on Jan. 13, is currently being held on $20,000 cash bail at the Plymouth County House of Correction. He is due in court again on Feb. 2 for a pre-trial hearing.
